How We Serve
Turnkey Ministries provides respectful, evening chaplain visits offering encouragement, prayer, and hope to patients in rehab hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.
- Answering the Call
Taking the Good News Beyond the Church Walls
Jesus shared a prayer request. “These were His instructions to them. “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
Luke 10:2
The Apostle Paul was sobering when he relayed Christ’s words. “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’.” Romans 10:10-15
Turnkey Ministries responds by saying, “We’ll go!” We’ll present to our Lord and Savior a team of like minded Believers who will “go”. We’ll recruit, train, appoint, manage, and send volunteers.
It’s a simple ministry that God has demonstrated He will use. Week by week, month by month, year by year, God uses this ministry to bring multitudes to new life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Reaching non-seekers – those who aren’t looking for a relationship with our Lord, and further, those who wouldn’t find themselves in a church. God wants them to know Him. He wants them to have life for eternity.
First, Turnkey Ministries is a volunteer team who visit rehabilitation facilities where people are receiving treatment following a disease or injury. Most will return home after they recover, thanks to physical therapy, nursing, and other medical care.
Turnkey Ministries volunteers, some who are appointed and called “Volunteer Chaplains” meet these patients at their point of crisis. Visiting room by room in pairs, Turnkey Ministry Volunteer Chaplains bring friendliness and compassion. They offer to pray, at the patient’s option, and share the story of Jesus with those willing to hear. Many pray at that very visit to receive new life in Christ. Some refuse the visit, some refuse the prayer, yet some enjoy a new life – Eternity with God.
Turnkey Ministries Volunteer Chaplains are Christians of various denominations. Their purpose is to bring the Good News of Christ to our neighborsates. Their secondary purpose is to visit those who are sick, bringing compassion even when prayer or further conversation is rejected. We take seriously what Jesus said regarding visiting the sick. “When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you? And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 26:39-40
Turnkey Volunteer Chaplains learn to respectfully and inoffensively share the simple story of Jesus which is presented in the Free Gift Booklet available for viewing on this site. (link)
Churches are so readily available in the United States. Yet there are now millions who don’t know the purpose or message of the church. Even with a church right next door – the message of the church is often unintentionally kept within the four walls of the church. Neighbors are left in a kind of spiritual blackout.
The simultaneous work of Turnkey Ministries is the distribution through mailing of the Free Gift Booklet to mailboxes, Zip Code by Zip Code. In this way the simple story of Jesus is presented to entire families through their mailbox.
Imagine – anyone of any religious persuasion, or anyone of no religious persuasion is receiving the truth of the Good News of God in Christ Jesus. Imagine the number of precious souls who receive this Free Gift Booklet who wouldn’t otherwise open their hearts or doors to the message of Christ’s church.
Rejoice with us that the Free Gift Booklet is being received by our neighbors in their mailbox. The Free Gift Booklet is attractive, simple, and published in magazine quality.
– Turnkey Ministries says, “LET”S GO!” How else could we respond to our Lord’s prayer request?
